Rise & Run will partner with national subject matter experts to provide comprehensive, candidate preparation training. We will also provide localized content to address Montgomery County's unique needs. for curriculum training sessions.

All applicants for Rise and Run's first year (2021) will be accepted. After your application is reviewed, you may be asked to participate in a virtual meeting with the Rise and Run team to get to know you better.
Yes, all sessions must be completed. Virtual sessions will be recorded and available for playback for participants who miss a session(s) for unforeseen circumstances. Each week may have accompanying side work to enhance the learning process.
Sessions will be held twice per month, for 2-3 hours each session. Sessions will be Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
Local leaders with subject matter expertise will be on hand for in depth discussions related to Montgomery County. A thoughtful dialogue of participants will also be encouraged so you can learn from each other.
R&R training will cost $750 for the 8-session term. This cost includes all instruction and materials.
R&R will not endorse any specific candidate following the training, however, all candidates may reference their completion of the program at any time. All candidates will be provided a Certificate of Completion.
While it is preferred, it is not required.
That's ok! It may take a while for you to fully commit, however we ask that you at least have a deep interest in a possible run for an elected position.
In preparation for R&R applicants to be the best solution to Montgomery County challenges, we are asking participants to undergo a background check as a final step in our screening process and to help ensure sound acceptance decisions and protect R&R from potential risks.
